
itools is a Python library, it groups a number of packages into a single
meta-package for easier development and deployment.

The packages included are:

  itools.abnf             itools.ical             itools.tmx
  itools.csv              itools.isetup           itools.uri
  itools.datatypes        itools.odf              itools.vfs
  itools.gettext          itools.pdf              itools.web
  itools.git              itools.relaxng          itools.workflow
  itools.handlers         itools.rest             itools.xapian
  itools.html             itools.rss              itools.xliff
  itools.http             itools.srx              itools.xml
  itools.i18n             itools.stl

The scripts included are:

  igettext-build.py       isetup-cache-list.py    isetup-quality.py
  igettext-extract.py     isetup-copyright.py     isetup-register.py
  igettext-merge.py       isetup-info.py          isetup-release.py
  isetup-build.py         isetup-install.py       isetup-update-locale.py


Requirements
------------

Python 2.5.2 or later is required.  The GLib [1] library version 2.12 or
later is required.  For Windows pywin32 [2] is needed.

To get the "PDF Markup Language" (PML) working the package reportlab 2.2
or later [3] must be installed.

The "itools.xapian" package requires the Xapian [4] library (xapian-core)
and its Python wrapper (xapian-bindings), version 1.0.7 or later is required.

Install
-------

If you are reading this instructions you probably have already unpacked
the itools tarball with the command line:

  $ tar xzf itools-X.Y.Z.tar.gz

And changed the working directory this way:

  $ cd itools-X.Y.Z

So now to install itools you just need to type this:

  $ python setup.py install


Unit Tests
----------

To run the unit tests just type:

  $ cd test
  $ python test.py
